What I Do
I have been very fortunate to have had some incredible experiences in my business career.
I have lived in Canada, the United States, and the UK.
I have run businesses in Sweden, Norway and Denmark, as well as Canada, the USA and the UK.
I have supported the Canadian government, as an executive within the Public Service, in addressing the fundamental issues of economic prosperity.
My desire is to harness that deep reservoir of experience in the corporate world and, with The Beacon Group, to help leaders and their organizations deal with a broad array of issues.
My belief is that leaders and organizations must transform themselves on a recurring basis and that there are essential competencies they must display in order to remain relevant, profitable, productive and opportunistic.
My philosophy is based on the value of insight, context and perspective. There is no more important talent in business than the ability to think clearly and make the right decisions, at the right time, for the right reasons.
My objective is to help my clients improve their ability to make the very best decisions possible. Whether working with a large group, giving a keynote presentation, lecturing in a leadership development class, facilitating a strategic planning session, or working one-on-one with an executive coaching client, my goal remains the same — get a better outcome by ensuring the underlying thinking is sound.
My approach is pragmatic and urgent. The realities of today’s business world leave no room for complexity when simplicity will do, and no room for complacency when the need is for speed. Straight talk, hard facts and a willingness to confront the truth are lubricants for the well performing business.
