My name is Doug Williamson.

Welcome to my personal website.

Portrait of Doug Williamson When I began my business career, back in 1969, it never occurred to me I would be as fortunate as I have been to have served as “trusted advisor” to such a large number of exciting organizations and senior executives around the world. It’s been quite a journey and one that has taken me inside board rooms and executive suites in places as diverse as Uppsala, Sweden and Melbourne, Australia. It has offered me privileged exposure to organizations ranging from Fortune 100 companies in the United States, to global giants in Europe. It has provided me with unique assignments and terrific challenges in industries as diverse as mining and microbiology.

As a Leader I have occupied several different senior executive positions, run several unique businesses and have begun and built companies.

As a Facilitator I have worked with senior executive teams from a cross section of the best known and most highly regarded multinationals.

As a Change Agent I have been involved in the hard work of transforming organizations, building high performance teams and rejuvenating cultures.

As a Public Speaker I have taught Leadership Development programs and addressed audiences with participants from the C-Suite to the front line.

As an Executive Coach I have helped guide high potential executives in their personal journeys to make the most of their potential.

Today, I am the President and C.E.O. of The Beacon Group, a Toronto-based firm that specializes in Organizational Transformation and Effectiveness as well as Talent Identification and Leadership Development.
